KARON LEE NAOMI
Karon Lee Kirk was born September 28,1947 with her twin sister Sharon in Columbus, Ohio to James William Kirk and Ruby Mae (Griffith) Kirk. She lived in Ohio part of her life and was adopted as a very young child by her stepmother, Daisy Kirk.
She was united in marriage to Sam Naomi on October 1, 1983.
Karon enjoyed painting and crafting until her health deteriorated. She loved playing cribbage and bingo with her friends at Tingley Meal Site and Mount Ayr Health Care. Karen also collected butterflies and elephants.
She was 71 years 7 months 26 days old when she passed away at Mount Ayr Health Care Center surrounded by her friends on May 24, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Kirk; twin sister, Sharon Kirk; husband, Sam Naomi.
Left to mourn her are her step-mother, Daisy Kirk, who passed away Sunday, May 26; daughters, Stephanie Hope Geelen of Daytona Beach, Florida and Dedra Kirk; stepdaughter, Teresa Brauer; two granddaughters, Danielle Smith and Lauren Porter; step granddaughter, Kayla Brauer; five great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Spears; niece, Heidi Sottak; nephews, Billy Joe Kirk and Robbie Spears; good friends, Cheryl Roach and Rob Novak, and many others.
Karon was cremated and laid to rest in the Tingley cemetery next to her beloved husband, Sam.
Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr was in charge of the arrangements.
