NIEDA RAE CUNNINGHAM
Nieda Rae (Egly) Cunningham, the first-born daughter of John William (Bill) and Ruth Egly, passed away on June 4, 2019 in Burnsville, MN.
Nieda was born in Creston, Iowa and graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1962.
Two daughters, Lizette and Kimberly, left to cherish her memory, reside in Minnesota.
Nieda was a gifted artist and designer who lived in Iowa, Colorado and Minnesota.
Nieda is survived by her siblings, Billie, Katherine, Barbara and James, numerous nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, John and granddaughter, Mikayla.
Memorial contributions in Nieda Rae (Egly) Cunningham’s name may be made to the Mount Ayr Public Library.
A Remembrance Service for Nieda will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 6 at the Mount Ayr Public Library.
I would have liked to have known about this Remembrance Service. But found out about it, after the fact. Neida had many friends in the Des Moines area, me included. I wish her family’s last names were included in the obituary, as several of us would like to send cards to them. Maybe this was in the Des Moines Register, but I didn’t see it, as I don’t take the Register.We will all miss Neida. She was loved by her friends.
