A Ringgold County woman was seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident June 28.
Upon arrival at the scene at approximately 4:44 p.m., RCSO found a single vehicle wreck in a cornfield off of 292nd St. in rural Redding,
A 1979 GMC truck owned by Rodney Ray White, 59, of Mount Ayr was resting up against a tree. After investigation, it appeared that White had left the roadway and entered the cornfield striking a tree.
White sustained minor injuries and was transported to the local hospital by private car.
A passenger in the truck, Lois Imogene White, 83, of Mount Ayr was taken by air ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
The Ringgold County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Ringgold County Ambulance and the Mount Ayr Fire Department.
