Coming on the heels of hosting a meeting of statewide leaders in economic development, the Ringgold County Development Corporation (RCDC) has announced its inaugural taskforce to activate its 2019-2020 strategic plan.
Under the direction of the RCDC board of directors, the following individuals comprise the taskforce:
• Brandi Shay, Tingley, Strategic Planning Lead
• Molly Murphy, Mount Ayr, Marketing and Branding Lead
• Jodie Geist, Mount Ayr, Grants and Funding Consultant
• Katelyn Maass, Clearfield, Special Projects Consultant
RCDC reported activities for the quarter include solidifying the organization’s strategic plan, launching a 2019-2020 marketing campaign, developing foundational branding assets, applying for funding through national, state and local granting opportunities and evolving the scope for a full-time director of development.
An earlier announcement about the pending hiring of a full-time county economic director turned out to be premature.
A press release from the RCDC provided context for the group’s renewed focus:
“While in existence since 1960, a changing rural landscape and a concentrated effort at the state level has ignited this non-profit group to take a fresh approach to sustaining and growing Ringgold County for the betterment of our community members.”
