Anna Belle Rinehart, of Hatfield, MO, passed away surrounded by family on August 11, 2019.
She was born to Sadie Mae Hensley and Ernest Eugene Black on June 10, 1936, at their farm south of Mount Ayr. She was the second of their five children, Betty, Anna Belle, Charlie, Mary and Jean. She attended country school until fifth grade, when it was shut down. She then went to Mount Ayr school,  graduating  in May 1954. After graduation she worked as a secretary; first in a clinic at the University of Iowa and then at an attorney’s office in Mount Ayr. She met Bobbie Rinehart at the skating rink in Grant City and they were married on December 31, 1954. They bought a farm and spent their remaining years working it together and filling it with love, children and laughter.
Anna Belle was involved in multiple clubs, active in church and worked at the Grant City cap manufacturing plant for many years, but her passion was primarily dedicated to her husband and family. She was well-known for being an outstanding seamstress and often sewed clothes for her family. She was also an amazing cook, and often cooked for her large family and anyone who may like to join them for Sunday dinner. She spent time with her daughters in the kitchen, teaching them to enjoy cooking; as well as each other. Through this she passed on not only her amazing cooking skills, but also a sense of love and family that is built in the kitchen and continues to resonate at all of their family gatherings. She loved gardening and playing cards with family. She was known to quietly and humbly beat everyone else after starting out behind. She created a warm, nurturing, forgiving and welcoming home that kept family coming back and neighbors stopping in. Her dedication to family can still be felt in the love, laughter, support and companionship that resonate anytime they are gathered.
Anna Belle is survived by her husband, Bobbie, son: Gary Rinehart, daughters: Sherri and Rod Adams, Kathy and Michael Armijo, Melinda and Scott Bollinger and Bobbi and Daniel Gladstone; grandchildren: Kara and Brian Craig, Jason Rinehart and Stephanie Parman, Jennifer and Garry Potter, Cassi and Stephen Beal, Blaque, Brooklyn and Jon Armijo, Jacob, Nicholas, Curtis and Wilson Bollinger and  Anna, Aydan and Renae Gladstone; great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Logan and Andrew Craig, Caleb and Alex Rinehart, Ethan, Chase, Reese and Nora Potter and Quincy Beal,  sisters: Betty Meyers of Eagleville, Mary Owens of Leon, IA and Jeane and Ron Siepp of MN and brother-in-law, Ronnie and Lena Rinehart of TX.
