The Mount Ayr cross country teams traveled to Wayne last week to compete.
Isaac Timmerman medaled for the Raiders with a seventh place finish with a time of 18:32.
Briar Knapp finished with a time of 22:28 to finish 46th overall, while Will Newton finished in 23:02, improving his time over last year by 1:54, and placing 54th.
Joan Trujillo finished in 23:21 for 58th, Jarred Webb took 89th with a time of 27:41 and Ryker Hickman finished 91st in a time of 29:27.
The Raiders finished 12th overall, while Davis County, Albia and Central Decatur took your top three finishes.
For the Raiderettes, MaKayla Jones placed 16th overall with a time of 25:23, followed by Karlie Larsen in a time of 26:30, placing 24th.
Natalie Schaefer finished 32nd in a time of 27:58, followed by Taylor Clymer. Clymer finished in 28:21, good for 34th, while Rachel Gregg was 37th with a time of 29:05.
Olivia West finished in a time of 29:07 and in 38th, while Elizabeth Sobotka finished 40th with a time of 29:35.
The Raiderettes finished sixth overall, with Davis County, Chariton and Albia rounding out the top three. Central Decatur and Pleasantville took fourth and fifth, respectively.
“It was good to get our first meet in for the season,” said coach Deb Larsen. “We had a good start, and as a team, are working to drop our times.”
