The Mount Ayr harriers took to the course in Nodaway Valley last week that saw great weather and a fast course along with three Mount Ayr medalist and a new school record on that course for the 5K, while seventeen Mount Ayr runners had personal or season best runs.
The Raiderettes finished eighth overall as a team out of 13 teams.
MaKenna Jones set the school record for the Nodaway Valley 5K course with a time of 22:07, finishing 19th overall, but first for Mount Ayr.
Other personal bests for the Raiderettes were Karlie Larsen who ran a 25:03 to place her 11th on the All-Time best list for girls 5K, Natalie Schaefer with a time of 25:04 to find herself 12th on the All-Time best list for girls 5K and Lauren Triggs with a 27:12.
Also running for the Raiderette squad was MaKayla Jones who ran a season best time of 22:34 to finish 26th, Rachel Gregg with a 25:43 for a place of 70th, Elizabeth Sobotka with a time of 26:44 to finish 84th, Lauren Triggs for a time of 27:11, Alexa Smith for a time of 27:41, Olivia West in a time of 28:40, Ashtyn Werner with a time of 30:25 and Andrea Sickels rounding out the team with a 34:37 time.
The Raider squad saw season best times from Isaac Timmeran, Joan Trujillo and Jarrett Webb.
The Raiders finished seventh out of 16 teams overall.
Timmerman came across the line first for Mount Ayr with a time of 17:59 and 15th overall followed by Levi Henry with a time of 18:28.
Briar Knapp fiinshed with a time of 19:30 followed by Will Newton who finished 68th with a time of 21:03.
Joan Trujillo finished in a time of 22:25 while Ryker Hickman finished in 22:42.
Jarred Webb completed the course in a time of 23:45 to round out the runners for Mount Ayr.
The Mount Ayr cross country team ran at the Pride of Iowa meet in Corydon Tuesday, but results were not available at press time.
The harriers will finally be home for their home meet today (Thursday) for the Ron Landphair Invitiational.
The meet begins at 4:30 p.m. to close out the regular season.
Districts begin October 24 with State November 2.
