Isaac Timmerman was the lone Raider cross country runner to qualify for the State Meet in Fort Dodge last week.
Timmerman finished fifth overall in a time of 17:21.25.
Timmeran will run in Fort Dodge at 2:30 p.m. at Kennedy park.
As a team the Raiders finished sixth overall with a total time of 1:36:25.66.
Nodaway Valley, Earlham and Ogden were the top three teams from the meet.
The top 15 individuals would go on to State and Briar Knapp found himself in 21st, just outside of the top 15 with a time of 18:19.71.
Levi Henry finished 30th overall with a time of 18:54.91.
Will Newton crossed the line in 20:06.68 for a 59th place finish followed by Joan Trujillo in 97th with a time of 21:43.11. Ryker Hickamn rounded out the Raider runners with a 109th place finish with a time of 22:30.35.
Timmerman and Trujillo each had season best runs, while Newton, Hickman and Knapp had personal best performances.
The Raiderettes finished 5th overall as a team with a total time of 1:57.42.64.
The top three teams were AHSTW, Van Meter and Nodaway Valley.
MaKayla Jones finished 25th for the Raiderettes in a time of 22:20.38 followed by sister MaKenna Jones in 30th with a time of 23:08.59.
Karlie Larsen was 40th for the Raiderettes with a time of 23:36.82 and Natalie Schaefer came in 43rd with a time of 23:43.10.
Rachel Gregg finished in 57th with a time of 25:04.61.
Olivia West crossed the line 55th in a time of 24:54.01 and Elizabeth Sobotka rounded out the Raiderettes in 64th with a time of 25:41.17.
MaKayla Jones, Gregg and Sobotka all had season best runs, while Larsen, Schaefer and West all had personal best times.
“We had great effort by both our teams at the State Qualifying Meet. 11 of our 13 runners had either personal best or season best times,” said coach Deb Larsen. “Congratulations to Isaac Timmerman for qualifying for the State Meet for the second year in a row. The team and coaches wish him the best as he represents our team and town at the State Meet in Fort Dodge.”
