The Raiders overcame the Wayne Falcons to remain undefeated, at 5-0, last Thursday night in Corydon.
Dawson Frost led the Raider offense with 26 points, hitting three-of-four from beyond the arc and 10-of-15 buckets in total.
Frost also led the team in rebounds with 10 and assists and steals with six and three, respectively.
Jaixen Frost scored 10 points on the night, hitting one-of-two threes while hitting four-of-eight shots altogether. As a team, the Raiders were 25-of-62, hitting six-of-16 threes and eight-of-11 from the line with 38 rebounds, 15 assists and seven steals.
“We hadn’t actually been down in a ball game, we hadn’t had anyone fight back,” said coach Bret Ruggles. “So credit to Wayne. They did a nice job of punching us back a little bit. We really needed that. What I was happy about is we drew up three plays on timeouts and we executed all of them for points. That’s huge. Very happy all around. I thought in the second quarter our defense got better and better.”
The Raiders will face Worth County on Friday, January 3 at 6 p.m. in Mount Ayr next.
