Seven Missouri hunters have paid stiff fines stemming from hunting violations in Ringgold County.
According to district court filings, Joseph A. Fuemmeler and Billy Spilman, both of Rushville, MO, Kayla Allen, Austin Pettigrew, and Frank L. Fuemmeler, all of Saint Joseph, MO were charged with “restrictions on taking game – deer and turkey” and fined $1,695 each.
Joe L. Fuemmeler, Joseph A. Fuemmeler and Kerri D. Fuemmeler, all of Rushville, MO, and Frank L. Fuemmeler of Saint Joseph, MO were charged with “no valid non-resident deer license (antlered)” and fined $856.50 each.
Corey Carlton, DNR Conservation Officer for Union and Ringgold counties, commented the group was aware of their location across the state line while hunting during Missouri’s rifle season in November.
