In response to the well-publicized world-wide outbreak of the coronavirus, Ringgold County Public Health (RCPH) is keeping up-to-date with ever-changing information from their state and national partners through frequent webinars as well as reviewing updated protocols provided.
“We are encouraging local partners to review our emergency plans, have medical care providers assessing stock of current personal protective equipment (PPE), and continue to coordinate as the situation develops,” said RCPH director Becky Fletchall.
The general message encouraged by the national Center for Disease Control and the Iowa Department of Public Health, she said, has been for those who are ill to stay home, cover your cough, clean/disinfect frequently touched surfaces, and wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds to prevent spread of germs.
