An athlete with ties to the community finished strong in his junior season at Saint Thomas Academy. Garrison Solliday of Eagan, MN placed third in the 220 lb division of Minnesota State Wrestling.
His lone loss was to a nationally ranked wrestler. He also helped lead St. Thomas Academy to its second consecutive state runner-up finish in football this past fall.
Solliday was one of two juniors in the state to make the All-State team. Solliday already holds school records in sacks and tackles for loss.
His future plans are to play football in college. Solliday is the son of Scott and Trish Solliday and grandson of Don and Nida Solliday.
