Effective March 18, until further notice: Due to COVID-19 and public health concerns, all Ringgold County offices are closed to the public.
It is the Board’s intent to continue essential public services within each office. Appointments are required should business not be completed online. The Law Enforcement Center and Public Health services will continue with extra protocols in place. The Ringgold County Board of Supervisors recommend suspending all public gatherings at this time.
“Our goal is to protect the citizens and employees of Ringgold County. Our employees will continue to perform essential county services and direct customers to the website, when necessary, to conduct business. Please contact the Department by phone if you have questions regarding services”, Supervisor Ron Landphair said.
The Mount Ayr Lions Club has graciously donated their drop box for county use. This has been placed outside of the west entrance of the courthouse. Customers may place property tax payments, voter registration forms, absentee ballot request forms, etc. in this container. It will be checked multiple times per day.
In addition, jail visitation is suspended at the Ringgold County Law Enforcement Center. Limited access to the Center may be granted by calling ahead before visiting.
Requests for civil process will be limited case by case.
Weapons permits can be obtained online then mailed in. Follow guidelines on the website for proper completion.
