The City of Mount Ayr has instituted the following changes to normal procedures in response to the coronavirus outbreak:
• City Hall remains closed. Bills and correspondence may be left in the box outside the office door. Anyone needing to meet with a city employee should call ahead.
• The city’s recycling service has been suspended indefinitely.
• The city’s garbage collection service will no longer pick up items that did not fit within the regular garbage receptacle.
• The public library remains closed but patrons may call ahead to collect books at the library door.
