Ringgold County lags the state and neighboring counties in responding to the 2020 U.S. Census Survey.
As of May 2, 50.3% of Ringgold County residences had responded to the census. A total of 64% of all Iowa households have replied.
In Decatur County, 53.3% had responded, in Union County 62.9% had responded, and in Taylor County 58.7% had responded.
Ringgold County significantly trails the state and nation in using the Internet to respond. Only 14.3% of county households that have responded used the Internet to do so. That compares to 33.6% in Decatur County, 24.6% in Taylor County and 40.8% in Union County.
Nationally 46.2% have used the Internet to respond.
