Carol Ann Norris

Carol Ann went on her last adventure Thursday, April 23, 2020. She danced her way into heaven and has surrounded her family with all the love her big heart left behind. She had been ill for a few weeks before her passing on. A celebration of life will be held in Iowa at a later date.
Carol Ann Hayworth was born on February 14, 1944, in Red Oak, Montgomery County, IA, the daughter of Ivan Dellano and Amy Jeannette (Norton) Hayworth. She grew up in Taylor and Ringgold counties in Iowa. Carol Ann began her school years at country school before attending and graduating from Diagonal, Iowa High School in 1962. She was united in marriage to Derlin Beard, March 11, 1961, in Diagonal, IA was divorced in 1970, and to this union, three daughters were born.
Carol Ann had the opportunity to work in a variety of occupations; veterinarian technician, pharmacy technician, medical assistant and a notary.
Carol Ann loved her family. She enjoyed every minute she could with her girls and grandchildren. Carol Ann was immensely proud of her daughters and their families. Her grandchildren gave her great pride and were very precious to her and spent time with siblings as time permitted.
Carol Ann was a free spirit; she lived on her timetable. She loved being outside gardening, reading, fishing and walking with her furbabies. Carol Ann may have been born and raised in Iowa, but she had a special place in her heart for Texas and was known as the “Yellow Rose of Texas.”
Left to cherish Carol Ann’s memory are her daughters, Sherry (Brett) McBroom, Kerry (Dan) Staples, Darcy Beard and Danna Norris and grandchildren: Amanda (Chris) Kimpton, Jessika McBroom, Keenan (Shanna) McBroom, Tegan Staples, Kelsey Staples and Riley Beard; three sisters, Martha Morgan of Roland, IA; Mary Olson of Bondurant, IA and Ellen Landers of Carlisle, IA; six brothers, Paul Hayworth of Marana, AZ, Terry Hayworth of Mitchellville, IA, Dennis Hayworth of Grimes, IA, Douglas Hayworth of Weatherby Lake, MO, Tim Hayworth of Weeki Wachee, FL and Jim Bob Hayworth of Bondurant, IA.
Preceding Carol Ann in death are her father, Ivan Dellano Hayworth, in 2008, her mother, Amy Jeannette Hayworth in 1985; her second husband, Danny Norris, in 1978; a sister, Karon, in infancy.
Carol Ann is held by her loved ones in heaven and her own words, she says: “Faith-is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Until we meet again!”
