To the editor:
It is time to stop the riots. They say Black Lives Matter. We used to sing a little song in Sunday school. It goes: “Jesus loves the little children, all the little children of the world – red, yellow, black, and white – they are precious in his sight, Jesus loves the little children of the world.”
So it doesn’t matter what color your skin is, everyone matters.
Granted, the policemen went too far with George Floyd, but George Floyd did something wrong or the policemen wouldn’t have had him handcuffed.
Because they were rioting did not give them the right to break windows, steal merchandise, and burn down the businesses. Merchants had already lost money from begin closed and those merchants didn’t have anything to do with the policeman’s actions. The ones who burned down the businesses, that was arson. Business owners couldn’t help that Mr. Floyd died. The rioters took away the businesses’ livelihood. How would they like it if someone came in and burned down their home.
Sincerely,
Bonnie Summa
