Ringgold County Conservation recently installed the first disc golf course in Ringgold County at Liberty Lake.
Ringgold County Conservation is excited to provide this new recreational option for Ringgold County citizens and visitors.
The par signage is in production and until those signs are available, RCCB has numbered the posts at each launch site for directional usage. The first launch site is located near the south entrance to Liberty Lake at the parking loop.
RCCB would like to thank the HELP Youth Pod for their funding and persistence in getting Ringgold County a disc golf course. They funded this grant many years ago to another entity and that location didn’t work out, so they held on to that dream and it has finally come to fruition.
RCCB would also like to thank the 5-2-1-0 Grant through Iowa’s Healthiest State Initiative for grant funding for this project to improve and increase physical activity opportunities in Ringgold County.
And finally, a huge thank you to Joe Hoepker for volunteering his time to help provide a fun and exciting course layout.
