The body of a missing Grant City woman has been found in Worth County.
According to a report on the northwestmoinfo.com website, a tip to the Worth County Sheriff’s Office was received at approximately 5 p.m. Monday, September 14 about the location of the body of Melissa Chapman.
Chapman has been missing since August 23.
Chapman’s abandoned car and cell phone were located in Mount Ayr August 26.
The case is being treated as a homicide and is being investigated by the sheriff’s offices in Worth, Harrison, and Gentry counties in Missouri, the Ringgold County sheriff’s office in Iowa, as well as the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control.
