The Raider wrestling team is gearing up for another season after finishing last year third in the Pride of Iowa and 14-7 overall.
Coaches Eric Ehlen and John Ford return with assistants Marcus Daughton and Kevin Trullinger.
The Raiders are returning their core wrestlers from their third place finish last season, with Andi Gonzales their only loss to graduation.
Letterwinners returing are Drew Ehlen, Jaydon Knight, Payton Fleharty, Brayden Swietlik, Keaton White, Trae Ehlen, Donovan Morales, Bryce Shaha and Jarrett Webb.
Preston Fleharty, Chris Wyant and Deann Wyant will be filling ou the ranks this season for Mount Ayr.
With four state place winners from last season returning, the Raiders are looking to repeat a great wrestling season and finish in the top three.
“We are hopeful to have a season with COVID,” said coach Ehlen. “This could be a very successful year for several  of our Raiders.”
