Two Mount Ayr Raider football players were selected to the Iowa Print Sports Writer’s Association on Tuesday.
Payton Weehler received a 1A second team nod at the linebacker position, while Trae Ehlen was selected to the third team at the defensive back spot.
Throughout the season, Weehler dominated offenses with 55.5 tackles, 10 for a loss.
Weehler also recently announced he has committed to University of Nebraska as a preferred walk-on at the safety position for the Cornuskers.
Ehlen finished his season with three interceptions and two fumble recoveries, along with 43.5 tackles, 34 of which were solo.
Ehlen is set to have another standout year with the Raider wrestling team this winter.
