Access to the COVID-19 vaccine is right around the corner in Ringgold County.
According to Ringgold County Hospital administrator Gordon Winkler, RCH received an initial shipment of 100 doses on Tuesday, December 22.
“If you are curious” Winkler said, “100 percent of the Medical Staff have requested to be vaccinated.”
Public Health will also get 100 doses.
RCH will continue to receive weekly shipments of the vaccine.
The nursing homes will get vaccines through direct contracting with either CVS or Walgreen pharmacies.
Tuesday, employees who had signed up to be vaccinated received shots in staggered groups to minimize any reaction related absences.
Reactions are expected to be minor, similar to other types of vaccinations.
