In the ongoing negotiation between the city of Mount Ayr and Ringgold County in regard to law enforcement services to the city, at their meeting Monday, January 25, the county supervisors approved a proposal for the cost of providing those services.
The county proposes a flat fee of $180,000 with an annual increase of 4 percent with the contract set for four years.
The Mount Ayr city council will act on the proposal at its next regular meeting Monday, February 1.
