In 1961, Howard and Jenny bought his Grandpa Baker’s farm in Diagonal where they raised their three children. As their family grew, they enjoyed many fun activities together, from watching grandchildren at sporting events, deer hunting and hunting wild hogs in Texas and many vacations traveling from Costa Rico to Alaska and from coast to coast with friends and family throughout the years.
Jenny held several jobs in her life but spent many years in factories (first Purolator and then Bunn-O-Matic in Creston, IA.) There she made many friends – she stayed on part-time after retiring to continue her friendship connections.
Jenny devoted her life to volunteering and helping others. She was always active in the Tingley Methodist Church, participating and coordinating many events for the community and after school programs. She and Howard were long-standing contributors to the Tingley Lions Club and recruited many new members.
