New COVID cases over the past seven days have continued their steady increase, according to statistics compiled by the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH).
On Monday IDPH reported Ringgold County had recorded eight new cases over the past seven days among those who had been tested.
IDPH reported these numbers of total cases since the beginning of the pandemic along with the number of new cases for the six-county are over the past seven days:
Union 2,283 +52 Clarke 1,830 +35 Decatur 1,165 +19
Taylor 1,103 +8
Ringgold 874 +8 Adams 665 +10
IDPH also reported the total number of vaccine completions and new completions (not including booster shots) among residents age 18 and over in the six-county area: Union 5,890 +18 Clarke 4,810 +25 Decatur 2,957 +14
Taylor 2,675 +17
Ringgold 2,433 +21 Adams 1,871 +25
Vaccine is available at the following locations:
• Mount Ayr Medical Clinic or Hy-Vee in Mount Ayr offer Moderna vaccine for 18 years and older.
• Medicap Pharmacy in Mount Ayr offers Pfizer pediatric for children ages 5 through 11 years of age for walk-in during business hours.
• Ringgold County Public Health offers Moderna or Johnson and Johnson vaccine for 18 years and older. Pfizer vaccine is available for children ages 5 through 17 years of age. Call for an appointment.
