The Raider wrestling team was down an athlete last Tuesday night when they hosted Audubon and Southeast Warren, but the four that were on the mat performed at a high-level that the Raider wrestling community is familiar with.
The night began with a bout between the Raiders and Audubon, with Audubon coming out on top after a tie-breaker gave them the 25-24 victory.
The match saw six double forfeits, while the Raiders had to forfeit four open weights that put Audbon ahead by a good amount.
The matches that were wrestled, however, saw the Raiders victorious, with Jaydon Knight defeating Lane Barber by fall in 1:24 at the 182 pound spot.
Keaton White (195) wrestled Cooper Nielsen and won by fall in 1:15.
Braydon Swietlik defeated Alex Foran by fall in 1:30 at the 285 heavyweight class and Brock Shaha defeated Jack Stanerson by fall in 1:33 at the 106 weight.
Southeast Warren was a different story, though, with the Warhawks fielding a full team and defeating the Raiders 48-24.
The Raiders had to forfeit nine open weights, while there were only two double forfeits for the match.
In the matches that were wrestled, the Raiders defeated all opponents.
Jaydon Knight defeated Logan Montgomery by fall in 2:46 at 170 pounds.
Keaton White defeated Trey Fisher by fall in 1:11 by 182 pounds and Braydon Swietlik defeated Connor Rauch by fall in 3:51 at the 220 mark.
