Pauline E. Richardson, 96, of Lamoni, passed away on March 4, 2022 at the Mount Ayr Health Care Center. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. The service will be hosted on Zoom. To access the zoom meeting, an in-person video conferencing, please send your email to: jj2richardson@gmail.com. A private burial will be held later at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Ringgold County.
Pauline Evelyn Richardson was born February 13, 1926, in Mount Ayr, IA, the daughter of Sherman and Ethel (Boyles) Toland. After she graduated from Mount Ayr High School, she resided and worked in Oakland, CA. She returned home and worked at the County Extension Office and Triple A office in Mount Ayr. On November 24, 1950 she married Robert (Bob) Richardson in Santa Maria, CA. They enjoyed 72 years of marriage together. When asked what the secret to her marriage was, she answered reading the Bible together. Pauline was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1981. Even though she was a quiet and mild person, she enjoyed sharing the Bible’s message of hope for a better future with others. She will also be remembered as a dedicated mother and devoted wife.
Preceding Pauline in death was her parents, her sisters Irene Steeby,Alice Mehl, Doris Romjue and her brother, Robert Toland.
She will be missed by her husband, Bob, and two sons, Dan Richardson and Joe (Jean) Richardson all of Lamoni, IA, loving nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Memorial contributions may be given to Joe Richardson to distribute donations. The family of Bob Richardson would like to extend sincere thanks to the Mount Ayr Health Care Center and Every Step Hospice.
