The Ringgold County Sheriff’s office responded to an accident involving three minors July 28.
According to the accident report, a minor was driving around Tingley in a reckless manner without adult supervision in a 2003 Ford F150.
The minor driver also had two other minor passengers in the vehicle at the time off the accident.
The minor driver then lost control of the vehicle trying to “drift” a corner on a gravel road leaving Tingley (240th Ave). The F150 ran off the west side of 240th Ave. in an uncontrolled skid.
When the vehicle made first contact with the west ditch, the F150 rolled over onto the roof of the vehicle coming to final rest on the edge of a corn field. The vehicle was rolled over onto the driver’s side by the time Law Enforcement and EMS arrived.
Both the driver and one passenger were rushed to Ringgold County Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The F150 was later rolled over on four wheels and towed off scene.
The driver was charged with Reckless Driving and Violation of Instruction Permit.
Any potential criminal charges identified above are merely allegations and any defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
