GLORIA ST. CLAIR

Gloria St. Clair, a Mother and Grandmother, passed away by natural causes on August 17, 2022 in Overland Park, KS surrounded by her family.
Gloria was born in Beaconsfield, IA to Emmett and Jessie Fouser on January 17, 1932. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Beaconsfield High School and then attended Northwest Missouri State College in Maryville, MO. After two years, Gloria moved to Kansas City, MO and became an executive secretary with Interstate Securities Company and The Ward Parkway Bank.
In 1960, she married J. Wesley St. Clair, a local banker, and they had two sons, John Wesley St. Clair Jr. and Kenneth William St. Clair.
Gloria was a devoted Mother and was involved in many of her sons’ activities at The Barstow School such as Room Mother and Sports Team Sponsor. She was a member of the Country Club Christian Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Kenneth William Fouser.
Gloria is survived by her sons, granddaughter, Ellen Marie St. Clair, and grandson, John Wilson St. Clair, and her former husband, J. Wesley St. Clair. She is also survived by several cousins including Patricia Johansen of Wheaton, IL; Betsy Miller of Phoenix, AZ; Darlene Doty Lowe of Fresno, CA; Carol Gilreath White of Castle Rock, CO; and Darrell and Celia Fouser of Scott City, KS.

Visitation was held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, IA. Services were at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr, IA.
