BONNIE SUE MCHENRY YOUNG

Bonnie Sue McHenry Young was born at home in Allendale, MO, in Worth County, on August 8, 1942. She graduated high school at Mount Ayr Community High School in 1960. She furthered her education at Southwest Iowa Community College PNE program where she graduated Salutatorian in 1973.
Bonnie worked all her adult life as a nurse at Dr. Fell’s Clinic and then Mount Ayr Health Care Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family, scrapbooking, gardening and served as a Mary Kay consultant.
Bonnie passed away on September 1, 2022. She was preceded by her parents; son, Brent Priest; sisters, Naomi McHenry and Ruth Trullinger; brothers-in-law, Clyde Trullinger and Don Harvey.
She is survived by her husband, Gerry Young, of Tingley; children, Billi Sue and husband, Glenn Fuller, of Lebanon, TN and Doug and wife, Keri Priest, of Princeton, MO; grandchildren, Brad and Kayla Priest of Washington, IA, Philip and Shelby Priest of Afton, IA, Alex Oglevie of Mount Juliet, TN, Brooke and Ryan Brown of Cedar Park, TX, Chris and Rachel Priest of Kirksville, MO, Fallon and Brendon Gosnell of Warrensburg, MO; great grandchildren, Bryson Priest (Brad), Tucker Priest (Brad), Oakley Priest (Philip), Abigayle Priest (Chris); step-children, Jeff (Cheryl) Powell of Kellerton, IA, Katreena (Glen) Foster of Colfax, IA, Tommy (Alma) Young of Colorado; several step-grandchildren; siblings, JoAnn Harvey of Mount Ayr and Georgia (Paul) Brand of Mount Ayr; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bonnie has been cremated and there will be a private graveside service in April 2023. A memorial fund has been established for a monument at her gravesite. Donations may be sent to Armstrong Funeral Home to be forwarded to the family.

    have known bonnie for years. especially remember her being good friends with my classmate an good friend sharon priest case. i know sharon was at gates of heaven to greet an hug Bonnie.. condolences to family…
