DORIS MARIE CRAWFORD

Doris Marie Crawford, daughter of William (Bill) and Mary Catherine (Dahlgran) Crawford, was born March 15, 1958, in Mount Ayr, IA. Doris graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1976. She became a C.N.A. and worked in nursing homes in Mount Ayr, Carlisle and Pleasant Hill for 23 years. Doris lived most of her life in Mount Ayr. Doris loved her many nieces and nephews. She was proud of their many accomplishments and enjoyed telling others about them. Doris loved animals, most specifically cats and dogs. Doris was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Doris passed away on August 31, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Robert; nephew, Kendall Crawford; three brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.
She is survived by her siblings and their spouses, Donald (Cham) of Ponca City, OK, Larry (Marlene) of Indianola, IA, Ann Beech of Des Moines, IA, John (Donna) of Orange City, IA, Harold of Mount Ayr, Bernard (Marla) of Mount Ayr, Rosemary Hullinger of Mount Ayr; a host of nieces and nephews. Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr is in charge of the arrangements.
Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr, IA.
Officiating was Pastor Bill Armstrong.
Special song was “Jesus Loves Me”.
Casketbearers were Doris’s Nieces and Nephews.
Honorary pallbearers were Barb Supinger, Sue Trullinger, Sharla Norris, Karen Pettinger, Ringgold County Public Health and EveryStep Hospice.
