The Raiderettes took to the road on Saturday morning to compete in the Bedford Volleyball Tournament.
Stanton 2, Mount Ayr 0
Mount Ayr first faced the Stanton Vikqueens (14-4) who defeated the Raiderettes after a two sets of 21-6 and 21-4.
The Raiders had five kills in the two sets, with Tegan Streit leading with two.
Tabby Henle, Kacee Klommhaus and Linsie Barnes collected the other three.
Kaylie Shields led the team in assists with three, while Hayden Ruggles added two.
The Raiderettes recorded seven digs, led by Olivia Huntington with three, Ruggles with two and Streit with one.
The Raiderettes were successful at the serve line, going 12-of-12.
Leading the servers was Shields and Ruggles, each going three-for-three.
East Mills 2, Mount Ayr 0
The Raiderettes faced the East Mills Wolverines (20-6) following the loss to Stanton and found themselves in a similar situation.
The Wovlerines proved as tough as they were a week ago in Mount Ayr, defeating the Raiderettes in two sets, 21-5 and 21-9.
In the loss, the Raiderettes recorded four kills and had three assists.
The defense recorded 13 digs and four blocks.
On the serve, the Raiderettes were perfect, going 15-for-15 with one ace.
Mount Ayr 2, Lamoni 1
Mount Ayr found some success in the day, however, defeating Lamoni (8-11) after three sets, 2-1.
The Raiderettes won the first set 21-11, as Lamoni took set two 21-17. Set three went to 15 with Mount Ayr taking the 15-11 victory.
The Raiderettes recorded 21 kills in the victory, led by Streit with six, while Klommhaus and Ruggles added four each, while Shields recorded 11 assists.
Ruggles led the team in digs with nine, followed by Huntington who recorded eight.
Serving, the Raiderettes were 47-of-53 with eight aces.
Huntington led the team with five aces while going 11-for-12 at the line.
Bedford 2, Mount Ayr 0
The Raiderettes exited pool play and into the consolation bracket to face the Bedford Bulldogs.
The Raiderettes fell in two sets to end their day.
Bedford won 21-15 and 21-12.
The Raiderettes recorded nine kills in the loss, with eight assists.
Linsie Barnes led the team in kills with four, while Ruggles led the team in assists with four.
Huntington led the team in digs with seven.
At the serve line, the Raiderettes were 27-of-28 with two aces, led by Streit went seven-for-seven with one ace.
