Two Fugitives were arrested in Mount Ayr on the evening of December 14.
Cris Michael Brehme, of Wadena ,was arrested at 9:30 p.m., at Casey’s general store on an outstanding warrant from Fayetteville county. His vehicle was impounded, and a search yielded more charges.
Brehme was booked into the Ringgold county jail to appear before a magistrate on the following,

692a.113 Sex offender violation 2nd or sub
124.401(5) Possession of controlled substance-1st
124.414 Possession of drug paraphernalia
Brehem, was held on a $6,300 cash only bond.
Jennifer Jo Schmidt of Strawberry Point was also arrested, the same evening. Schmidt was found hiding in the First Christian Church of Mount Ayr.
Her vehicle was impounded and searched leading to more charges besides an outstanding warrant from Clayton county.
Schmidt was booked into the Ringgold county jail on a $ 6,300 cash only bond, and was to appear before the Magistrate on the following charges,

124.401(5) Possession of controlled substance- 3rd or sub
124.414 Possession of drug paraphernalia.
Any potential criminal charges identified above are merely allegations and any defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
