The Southern Tier wrestling team hosted its first home meet last Thursday night in Leon at Central Decatur Community Schools.
It was a tough outing for the girls with most matches ending after a dominant showing from the home team before one move put them in bad positions and ending the match.
Mount Ayr saw Alexis Greenland, Anna Greenland and Kalee Wise wrestle.
Anna Greenland secured the lone victory for the Southern Tier team Thursday night, winning her first match of the night over Natalie Geisler of Southeast Warren-Melcher Dallas, by fall in 38 seconds.
Greenland would lose her next two.
Ashli Perkins of SEW-MD defeated her by fall in 5:24, while Sydney Metz of SEW-MD defeated Greenland by fall in 1:49.
Wise fell to Jalon Olson of Clarinda in 1:56, while Natalie Gesiler of SEW-MD won by fall in 1:42.
Alexis Greenland battled Ellie Shinn of Clarke-Murray twice, her only two matches of the night.
Greenland would fall both times in 1:28 and 2:18.
