Mount Ayr Quad
Mount Ayr was host to Clarke, Lenox and West Central Valley in the Mount Ayr Quad last Tuesday night.
The Raiders lost all three duals in points, but wrestled well.
Clarke
Against Clarke, Mount Ayr lost 42-18, winning two-of-four matches wrestled.
There were four double forfeits in the match, while Mount Ayr had to forfeit five matches.
At 106 pounds, Brock Shaha took a victory over Angel Gome-Perez, defeating him in 1:24 by fall.
At 126 pounds, Nathan Mederos fell in 45 seconds to Clarke’s Cassius Henry.
At 145 pounds, Tegan Hill went 2:40 before falling to Conner Williams.
At 160 pounds, Bracken Collier defeated Erick Hernandez to give the Raiders victory number two, by pin in 1:44.
Lenox
Lenox defeated Mount Ayr 36-18 after three wrestled matches.
There were five double forfeits with Mount Ayr forfeiting four matches.
Conlee Stark wrestled at 132 pounds for the Raiders and battled hard before falling in 3:31 to Dylan Stein.
Wardlow Leo of Lenox defeated Tegan Hill in 1:30 by fall at 145 pounds.
Bracken Collier achieved a victory over Daysen Gregg by fall in 56 seconds at 160 pounds.West Central Valley defeated Mount Ayr 66-9.
In the match there was only one double forfeit, while the Raiders forfeited eight open weights.
Brock Shaha wrestled up at 113 pounds to defeat Andrew Carl by fall in 58 seconds.
Nathan Mederos fell by pin in 1:17 to Cylir Joint.
Conlee Stark, at 132 pounds, defeated Wesley Ganoe by a close 6-5 decision.
At 138 pounds, Tegan Hill fell to Trenton Naragon by fall in 47 seconds.
Bracken Collier fell to Braiden Beane by fall after a tough 2:58 battle.
Mount Ayr Triangular
Mount Ayr hosted a triangular against the Bedford Bulldogs and the Maryville Spoofhounds last Thursday.
Maryville
Mount Ayr battled Maryville first, falling 48-24 in the match.
There were two double forfeits in the match as the Raiders forfeited seven matches.
Brock Shaha wrestled at 106 pounds against Blake Wallace.
Shaha got the pin after 2:13.
Nathan Mederos fell at 120 pounds to Dayn Henderson by fall in 1:45.
Conlee Stark defeated Logan Henderson by fall in 25 seconds at 132 pounds.
At 138 pounds, Tegan Hill defeated Grayson Hess by fall in 1:02.
Bracken Collier defeated Xander Brown by fall in 2:30 at 160 pounds.
Bedford
The Bulldogs and Raiders had a good matchup, ending in a 30-30 tie before the tie-breaker put the Bulldogs ahead 31-30.
The tie-breaker was the amount of forfeits with Mount Ayr having five and Bedford, three.
Conlee Stark defeated Dalton Swartz by fall in 2:41 at 132 pounds, while Tegan Hill defeated Kase Coleman by fall in 2:23 at 138 pounds.
Quad State Classic
On Saturday, January 28, the Raiders traveled to Maryville for the Quad State Classic.
The Raiders finished ninth with 55 points.

At 120 pounds Nathan Mederos faced Maryville’s Dayn Henderson. Mederos fell in 32 seconds.
Mederos would then face Shelby McNaughton of Tarkio, falling in 1:54 to end his day.
At 132 pounds, Conlee Stark wrestled Tim McCane of Winnetonka.
Stark was defeated, 3-0 before facing Lane Mason of Rock Port.
Stark won by fall in 1:45, to face Dalton Swartz of Bedford. Stark fell in 1:31.
At 157 pounds, Bracken Collier found himself in third place at the end of the day.
Collier began the day with a win over Cameron’s Kyler Axelson by a major decision of 11-3.
Collier would be defeated by Dayton Evans of Winnetonka (eventual champion at 157) by technical fall, 17-1.
Collier would head to consolation rounds where he defeated Secon Villa by fall in 2:38.
Collier would see Kyler Axelson in consolation once more to take the 14-4 major decisionfor third place.
At 106 pounds, Brock Shaha finished as champion.
Shaha faced Preson Williams, who he defeated in 1:45 by fall.
He would face Tyrre Broom by fall in 1:37 before facing Caleb Renyer in the championship round.
Shaha won by fall in 1:08.
The Quad State Classic was the last regular season match for the Raiders as Regional team Duals were held Tuesday and District wrestling begins Saturday, February 11.
