The Mount Ayr Community High School Speech team had fourteen performers at the District Speech Contest.
Of those, fourteen, ten have moved on to the state competition in Ames on March 11.
Those receiving one (excellent) ratings included: Ryce Reynolds in Radio Broadcast, Jillian Kniep in Prose (short story), Tessa Kniep in Poetry, Becca Dolecheck in Poetry, Allison Anderson in Prose (short story), Brittney Gilliland in both Original Oratory and Improvisation, Anna Greenland in Original Oratory, Alexis Greenland in Public Address, and Reegan Waldeier in Original Oratory.
Those who performed, but did not make it to the state competition this year included Makenzie Benesh in Poetry, Kate James in Spontaneous Speaking, Mya Sackett in Review, and Ava England in Literary Program.
