To the editor:
I almost didn’t go to the Merrill Perry band concert, but I did as I had a great nephew playing in the band.
I was not disappointed and Merrill would be so proud of MACHS band!
A few years ago, the band was small but has grown by leaps and bounds under the direction of Aaron Comer.
As I watched Aaron direct the Jazz Band, I was brought back to watching Merrill direct with every movement and feeling every part of the song.
Aaron has turned the music department around by inspiring his students and hard work by both.
I was so proud to be there!
