• reviewed two sealed bids for the city dump trailer and approved the high bid of $3,250 from Stewart Tire.
Jordan Stewart abstained from voting.
• agreed to move forward on obtaining cost estimates from Jeff Sickels for dirt work related to storm water runoff on Dwight Hickman’s South Taylor Street property.
Wise asked for Council agreement to move the water away from Hickman’s to the new pond constructed on Cunning’s property to the west.
• approved a quote of $12,760.00 from Commercial Roof Coatings, LLC to fix the roof at city hall.
• declined the Airport Grant the City received due to increased project costs.
The grant was for $75,000, and Wise estimated the lights alone would be $125,000 with total project cost estimated at $185,000.
• Superintendent Brent Wise reported that nuisances, including commercial properties, continue to be a serious issue for the city. Wise suggested a work session may be best to discuss nuisances further. Wise planned to start with yard cleanup by enforcing city ordinances.
