EILEEN RUTH BRANT

Eileen Ruth (Townsend) Brant, daughter of Harold Townsend and Gladys McIntire, was born June 19, 1946, in Ohio and passed away April 29, 2023, at the Mount Ayr Health Care Center at the age of 76.
Eileen was united in marriage to Richard Lee Brant on August 18, 1967, in Lincoln, NE. Although Eileen had no children of her own, she was always there for her nieces and nephews. That same love was given to her great nieces and nephews as well. She also “adopted” two boys, Wesley and Skylar, as her own grandchildren.
Eileen had so much love to give and was never the last one to give you a hug.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; in-laws, Laura and Johnny Osborn; nephews, Jimmy Osborn, at birth and Lawrence Osborn; niece, Margaret Osborn at birth; and “adopted” daughter, Terri Chafa.
She is survived by her nieces, Marilyn Spurling of Creston, IA, Marla (Todd) Lacina of Creston, IA and Marlene Osborn of Coon Rapids, IA. Along with many great nieces and nephews left to cherish her memory.
Graveside services were at 11:30 on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Tingley Cemetery in Tingley, IA,
Officiating was Pastor Bill Armstrong.
The songs were “Peace In The Valley” and “Long Black Train”.
Burial was at the Tingley Cemetery in Tingley, IA
