Derik Allen Estes

Derik Allen Estes, son of David Allen & Deborah Jean Estes, was born September 8, 1986, at Atchison, Kansas. While in school, Derik was the class clown.
Derik married Megan Lynn Rapson and was dad to Chloe, Aden, Gage, and Cyrus. Derik was excited to be a grandpa to Oakleigh when she will be born in October.
Derik took pride in his farm jobs and lawn care. He loved mud racing with his family, tinkering on vehicles and little projects with his son Aden. He loved riding his motorcycle with family & friends, his trucks, and everything mechanical. Derik loved his pets Trixie, Polar, and Dot. He was a jokester and was always giving nicknames to everyone in the family. He was a lot of fun to hang out with and there were a lot of laughs. Derik wasn’t afraid of anything and was a hard worker who provided for his family with pride. Most of all, Derik loved his family. He was proud of his children’s accomplishments. He spent as much time as he could with his family in his short life.
Derik passed away unexpectantly on April 18, 2024. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Almeda M Estes, Richard D Estes, David Estes, and Joyce Estes (Andrews).
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Megan, children Chloe-17, Aden-16, Gage-14, Cyrus-11, all of Clearfield; parents Deborah J Estes of St. Joesph, MO; father David Estes of Creston, IA; sister Kendra M. Estes of St Joseph, MO; brother Eric D. Estes of Platte City, MO; half-siblings Katie Estes of St Jospeh, MO and Walker Estes of Pattonsburg, MO; in-laws David S. Rapson and Lisa Rapson of St Joseph, MO; brother-in-law David Scott Rapson & wife and kids, all of Leavensworth, KS; grandparents-in-law Doug & Sherry Rapson and grandmother Rita Carr, all of Florida; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
