Virginia L. Smith (Hunt)
Virginia L. Smith (Hunt) was born on May 21, 1942, and passed on April 27, 2024.
She is survived by her husband Ernest V. Smith, daughters Sherri Roe, Dianna Raymond, and son James Smith. Also survived by sister Julie Raymond Peppmeier and brother Bob Hunt.
She had ten grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She had many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was very proud of her grandchildren, giving life advice to the end. Mom had many kids who referred to her as grandma as well as many who called her mom. She was loved by many.
Virginia worked many jobs, Pleasantville Elementary School, KVI, and retiring from Blue Cross Blue Shield. She was a homemaker also taking care of many.
She was preceded in death by her son Ralph (Gene) Smith, parents Louis Lee Hunt and Maurine Hunt, parents-in-law and 1 sister Reba Potee and son-in-law Gary Roe.
A celebration of life will be held on June 2, 2024, from 12-4 p.m. At 11690 SE 36th Avenue, Runnells, IA 50237.
