Betty Marie Gage

Betty Marie Gage, daughter of Doyle Vern & Joan Hope (Grannaman) Konopasek, was born January 23, 1957, in Hatfield, MO. Together with her siblings, Linda, Glen, and Jeannie, she grew up in a loving home. Betty lived in Eagleville, MO until the 6th grade when the family moved to Kellerton, IA.
Betty attended and graduated from Grand Valley High School with the class of 1975.
When Betty married Jerry Gage on October 23, 1977, she gained two daughters Teresa and Tara. Together, Betty & Jerry had two daughters Tonya, and Tiffany, and one son Tyler.
Betty worked at the Kellerton Locker with her parents for 30 years. She owned and operated the Kellerton Café in 2001 until her health failed. Betty & Jerry divorced June 22, 1998.
Betty got together with the love of her life, Leroy Lee, in December 1998. Betty gained three more children Jason, Misty, and Ashley Lee. Betty moved to Ottawa, Kansas in 2006. Betty has raised children and grandchildren since August 1980.
Betty loved reading, enjoyed spending time with friends and family; playing Joker with the Joker Ladies; studying her bible; gardening, fishing, and baking. Betty still processed deer after moving to Ottawa, Kansas. Betty had a special relationship with her children and grandchildren.
Betty passed away June 30, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents Doyle & Joan Konopasek; Leroy’s parents Ruth & Leon Lee; Dalton Ray & Misty Lee; siblings Linda and David Dunn; brother Glen, Bobbie & Mercalene Lee, Lenny & Patsy Hebert, David & Sharon Lee, Evert Ford, Patrick Geary.
Survivors include the love of her life, Leroy Lee of Ottawa, KS; children Teresa (Jimmy) Gliddon of Overton, NV, Tara (Anthony) Bratrsovsky of Simila, CO, Tonya (Daniel) Rehmeyer of Cromwell, IA, Tiffany (William) Bailey of Des Moines, IA, Tyler Gage of Kent, IA, Jason (Cassandra) Lee of Waverly, KS, Ashley Bolden of Ottawa, KS; 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sister Jeannie (Marvin) Hultquist of OK; Theresa Villereal, Donna Voyles, Barbara Ford of Salem, MO, Karen (Joe) Shroup, Danny Lee (Lisa Richardson); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr on Monday, July 8 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm with services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Maple Row Cemetery at Kellerton, Iowa. Memorials are to the family to be decided.
