The eighth annual Blackmore Corner Antique Farm Show will be held Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21. Touted as the “largest unknown antique farm show in Iowa,” this yearly festival showcases antique farm machinery at work.
Since 2016, local farmers have tuned up their older tractors and equipment to demonstrate how field work was done decades ago at the Blackmore Corner Antique Farm Show. Located four miles South of Ellston on P64 at Dolecheck Farms, the event will start with breakfast at the shop at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, followed by a full day of field demonstrations.
Bring your own classic machinery for live demonstrations including mowing and raking hay, chopping corn, bailing and stacking hay, cutting wheat and bailing, along with disking and plowing. Anything 1980 model year or older is welcome.

Kyle Dolecheck pulled a John Deere tractor last Saturday at the fair. The action returns this weekend at Blackmore Corner.
A tractor pull will also be held from 6-11 p.m. Saturday night. The event features two tracks running antiques, hot rod pickups, and smoker tractors. All are encouraged to attend or enter their best pulling machine.
Tractor classes will include 4,700 – 13,700 lb. out of field tractors, 9,700-12,700 ob. 3LM modified tractors, 9,000 lb. Pro Farm, 8,500 ob. limited pro and 10,700-11,700 lb. 3000 RPM.
Pickup classes will include stock gas pickups, stock diesel pickups, open gas pickups, 8,500 lb. hot street diesel and 9,500 lb. open diesel.
Participants can also pull in the open class, and pull what you bring.
Weigh in begins at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday with a scale on-site. The entry fee is $20 per hook.
The event continues on Sunday, starting at 10:00 a.m. Campers are welcome and you can also bring your own ATV or golf cart for transportation around the event grounds.
There will be special parking for classic cars, trucks and tractors.
Still Smokin’ BBQ will be serving concessions for lunch and supper on Saturday and Sunday lunch as well.
