As the SS Trump Titanic prepares to leave Mar-a-Lago for Washington D.C. let’s take a look at some of the motley crew.
As his proposed Secretary of Education, there is Linda McMahon, longtime Trump loyalist and financial backer.
What is her qualification? A professional wrestling magnate who lied about having a degree in education. The National Education Association called her “unqualified,” and wrote that she “spent years pushing policies that defund and destroy public schools.”
Just when you thought he couldn’t find anyone more unqualified to run the Department of Education than Betsy DeVos, the Amway Princess, in his first administration.
But if your goal is to destroy the Department of Education [see Project 2025] she is an excellent choice. If Linda gets tired of the national scene she could always join Governor Reynold’s campaign to destroy and defund public education in Iowa.
Then there is former Fox news analyst Pete Hegseth, who has faced charges of sexual impropriety and financial misconduct. He has been forced out of leadership positions from two different nonprofits advocacy groups catering to veterans.
As Defense Secretary Pete should be able to clean up as vast sums are funneled through that department.
For FBI Director, he has picked Kash Patel. According to William Webster, FBI director for Ronald Reagan, Patel would set a “dangerous precedent,” as he is a longtime Trump loyalist who has vowed to go after Trump’s critics.
The FBI Director needs to be apolitical, not a partisan hack.
Then there is Tulsi Gabbard, his pick as Director of National Intelligence who lacks experience and whose support for Putin in the War in Ukraine led a Russian news outlet to refer to her as a “Russian asset” and her friendship with Basir al-Assad, Syria’s brutal dictator.
Robert Kennedy, Jr. the anti-vax conspiracy theorist to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. Charles Kushner, Ivanka Trump’s father in law, is another who seeks to profit from his relationship to Donald Trump. Overlooking Kushner’s guilty plea to several counts of assisting with filing false tax returns, retaliating against a cooperating witness and making false statements to the Federal Election Commission, as well as making illegal campaign contributions, he is Trump’s choice for Ambassador to France.
Hey, looks like those contributions will pay off big time [bigley]. What qualifies them for these offices? Answer: Servile loyalty to their master.
