In honor of Veterans Day, on November 11, HyVee, in Mount Ayr, put on a free breakfast for veterans and their families at the American Legion Post 172 post.
The kitchen was manned by HyVee personnel including store manager Macy Ricker, human resources manager Keyona Paxson and produce manager Brittany Triggs.
The three HyVee chefs grilled, fried and scrambled the “Thank You” breakfast for many of the area veterans and their families.
This annual event put on and totally sponsored by HyVee is eagerly awaited for by area veterans not only for the free food, but more importantly the camaraderie that is shared by fellow warriors on this special day honoring their service to the country.
