Obituary: Robert Richardson

Robert “Bob” D. Richardson passed away on November 23, 2025, in New London, IA. He was born on October 14, 1926, to Homer and Florence (Bean) Richardson at home in Mount Ayr, Iowa. He married Pauline Toland on November 25, 1950. Bob was a farmer in Ringgold County, Iowa. He also worked for Maynes Realty.  Bob enjoyed reading and teaching the Bible. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Bob also had a passion for gardening and landscaping. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and helping neighbors.
Bob is survived by his children, Dan Richardson and Joe (Jean) Richardson and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (Toland); his parents, Homer and Florence Richardson; siblings, Ardis Moyer, Dick Richardson, and Beth Toland.
A Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Lamoni Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It will also be available by Zoom if you are unable to attend in person. You can contact Joe Richardson at 641-530-1896 for Zoom information.
