MOUNT AYR, Iowa — Each year churches throughout Ringgold County come together for a week long event during Holy Week in preparation for Easter with Breakfast with the Master.
This year the event will be held March 30 through April 3 at the First Christian Church located on the square in Mount Ayr.
This year marks the 42nd year of the annual event. The theme for this year’s Breakfast with Master is the Seven Last Words. The event is held to inspire and prepare everyone for Easter with the community being invited to participate.
According to Michell Ricker, one of the event organizers, Breakfast With the Master is an opportunity for all to prepare for Easter.
“Breakfast With The Master is a beautiful opportunity to come together as a community and hear five inspirational messages and music during Holy Week as we prepare for the greatest event of all time — the death, burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord,” Ricker said.
The event is held and organized by the Ringgold County Ministerial Association with the goal being “To reach out to Ringgold County residents as the unified body of Christ to assist with material and spiritual needs while offering the transformation that comes only through Jesus Christ and to work together for the common good.”
