MOUNT AYR, Iowa — The postseason awards keepin rolling in for the Raiders.
Four Mount Ayr baseball players were named to the Iowa Baseball Coaches Association’s Class 1A Southwest All-District team. The Raiders honored were Drew Graham, Adler Reed, Rowan Sackett and Hayes Stogdill. Mount Ayr was 8-5 this season in the Pide of Iowa Conference and 13-8 overall. The Raiders reached the district final before bowing out to Lenox.
Graham and Reed were first team picks. Graham was named one of two first team catchers along with Martensdale-St. Mary’s Cooper Hamilton being the other. Reed was named one of four players as a first team utility pick. Other first team utility picks were Cale Cunard from Logan-Magnolia, Owen Fitzpatrick from Martensdale-St. Marys and Jack Baker from Coon Rapids-Bayard.
Graham batted .406 with 28 hits, three home runs and 29 RBIs. He also had 10 doubles. Graham pitched in a team high nine games with two starts and had a record of 2-3 over 30 innings pitched. Graham had an ERA of 1.17 and 46 strikeouts.
Reed batted .463 with an on-base percentage of .566.  He had 33 hits to lead Mount Ayr with eight doubles, two home runs and 13 RBI. Reed was a speedster on the bases, stealing 33 of 34 stolen base attempts this summer. Reed also pitched and started five games with a 2-3 record. He pitched in 21 innings with an ERA of 3.67 and 22 strikeouts.
Sackett was named the second team All-District first baseman. He led Mount Ayr in batting average with an average of .500 with an on-base percentage of .558.  Sackett had 33 hits, 24 RBI’s, six doubles and a triple.  Sackett also pitched in 17 innings with a 1-0 record and a 2.06 ERA and 10 strikeouts.
Stogdill was one of four second team All-District selections at utility. He batted .381 with 35 hits, and 11 RBI. Stogdill also pitched and went 11 and two-thirds innings with a 1-0 record in two games. He had an ERA of 7.50 and two strikeouts.
