CORYDON, Iowa — The Mount Ayr cross-country teams had their meet at Wayne scheduled last Thursday at Corydon, Iowa scheduled postponed to September 24 due to hot weather conditions impacting the entire southwest Iowa area. Teams that were supposed to be at the meet were Bedford, Centerville, Central Decatur, Chariton, Diagonal, East Union Kirksville, Knoxville, Lamoni, Martensdale-St. Mary’s, Melcher-Dallas, Moravia, Mormon Trail, Moulton-Udell, Princeton, SE Warren and Wayne.
This week, the Raiders were to run at a meet in Leon, hosted by Central Decatur on Tuesday but again the extreme heat conditions forced the meet to be postponed. This time, a little closer though, as the meet will be made up two days later on Thursday, September 10. Teams that will be in town for that meet will be Centerville, Central Decatur, Chariton, Clarke, Lamoni, Melcher-Dallas, Moravia, Mormon Trail, East Union, Pleasantville, SE Warren, Twin Cedars and Wayne.
