MOUNT AYR — Area residents had an opportunity to learn more about local health and wellness resources during the Ringgold County Community Health Fair held last Wednesday on the Ringgold County Courthouse lawn in Mount Ayr.
The free, community-wide event was held from 3 to 6 p.m. and welcomed people of all ages. The health fair was organized to connect individuals and families with local organizations, programs and services available throughout the area.
A variety of booths provided information and activities for families, along with opportunities to meet representatives from local organizations and learn about available community resources.
Health and wellness information and screenings were also available throughout the afternoon, giving residents an opportunity to learn more about ways to support their health and well-being.
Organizers encouraged residents to stop by for the entire event or simply visit for a few minutes to learn about the resources available in Ringgold County.
The health fair was presented as an opportunity not only to share health information, but also to strengthen connections between residents and the organizations serving the local community.
